HANDS OFF! Rally and March
Fort Collins Fights Back for Democracy
On Saturday, April 5, IndivisibleNOCO and 50501 in Northern Colorado joined the national mobilization Hands Off! for a day of mass activation in defiance of the Trump-Musk billionaire takeover and the Republican assault on our freedoms and our communities.
Since his inauguration, Donald Trump has launched an unprecedented power grab—driving up prices, slashing funding for essential programs, and creating instability at every turn. Enabled by Elon Musk and Republicans in Congress, his corrupt agenda is making life harder for everyday Americans while eroding our democracy. Our communities are paying the price while the Trumps and Musks of the world cash in.
Indivisible NOCO and 50501 hosted a variety of speakers at each site before marching along the streets to share their messages. Fort Collins had an estimated 4,000 participants and Loveland had an estimated 900 participants
Fort Collins speakers included: Amy Padilla, IndivisibleNOCO; Kristin Stephens, Larimer County Commissioner; Jonas Anderson, CSU Science; Kim Medina, PODER; AlianzaNORCO; and others. After the speakers, participants marched through downtown Fort Collins.
Loveland speakers included: Jody Shadduck-McNally, Larimer County Commissioner; Dawn Kirk, Thompson School Board Member; Caitlin Wyrick, Heart & Sol of Loveland; Reggie Johnson, PFLAG; Carla Felts, Combat Veteran/Clinic Social Worker; and others. After the speakers, participants marched down Eisenhower to Lincoln and before joining the Tesla Takedown protest.
