2025 State of Colorado Ballot Measures

IndivisibleNOCO Recommends Voting Vote YES on State Ballot Measures LL and MM.

In November, Larimer County voters will vote on Propositions LL and MM. IndivisibleNOCO encourages you to vote YES on both measures: LL will protect money already collected so free K-12 meals continue for Colorado’s public school children, and MM will build a reliable revenue stream so schools get sustained support for child nutrition services.

What does Proposition LL do?

LL lets the state keep and spend $12.4 million already collected under the 2022 tax-deduction change, instead of refunding that money to high-income taxpayers ($300k+ households). That revenue would continue to help fund Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All program so schools can offer free breakfast and lunch to all K–12 students in participating districts.

Why vote YES on LL?

– LL uses revenue already collected to fund healthy meals for K-12 students, rather than refunding it to the wealthy.

– LL keeps money in local schools and cafeterias that serve Colorado’s students, rather than in wealthy pockets.

What does Proposition MM do?

MM would fund K-12 Healthy School Meals for All, increase wages for school meal workers, support local food purchasing, and help fund SNAP, by raising state income taxes for households earning $300k+ per year. By increasing taxes for these wealthy households by only about $486/household, Colorado would raise $95 million for these crucial public services.

Why vote YES on MM?

– MM creates stable funding to ensure free meals for every K-12 student at participating public schools, which supports student learning and health, food workers, and local producers.

– MM’s tax change generates a small increase only for higher-income households, which pays for programs that help children and families statewide.

Bottom line:

If you prioritize child nutrition, a YES on both Proposition LL and Proposition MM helps keep Healthy School Meals for All at minimal cost to higher-income households and at no cost to households making under $300k.
