WHY PHIL WEISER?

OVER MICHAEL BENNET FOR COLORADO GOVERNOR

Issue: WORKERS AND LABOR

Phil Weiser

Weiser SUPPORTS granting all public sector workers full collective bargaining rights.

Michael Bennet ✖

Bennet OPPOSES granting all public sector workers full collective bargaining rights. He advocates for policy compromise.

Issue: TRUMP'S CABINET

Phil Weiser

Weiser has taken issue with Bennet’s support of Trump’s cabinet appointees.

Weiser said, “He’s supported a number of the cabinet picks, thinking it would give him a relationship that would help get things done for Colorado. I’ve ended up suing a number of those picks that he has supported, because I see no other choice when someone is breaking the law and harming Colorado.”

Michael Bennet ✖

Bennet faces repercussions from votes to confirm several of President Donald Trump's Cabinet officials, particularly Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

Issue: CAMPAIGN FINANCING

Phil Weiser

Weiser does NOT accept contributions from corporate political action committees (PACs) or corporations.

Michael Bennet ✖

Bennet is supported by a state-level super PAC, Rocky Mountain Way. And, in the past 17 years as a U.S. Senator for Colorado, Bennet has accepted $357,616 from AIPAC.

Issue: RESISTING TRUMP

Phil Weiser

Weiser and his office have filed 60+ lawsuits against the Trump administration.

Weiser said, “Colorado and America want fighters — people who meet the moment. And I’ve shown as attorney general what that looks like.”

Michael Bennet ✖

During the January 10, 2026, forum hosted by the Colorado Young Democrats, Bennet twice objected to being “lectured” by Weiser about resisting Trump.

Issue: HEALTHCARE

Phil Weiser

Weiser emphasizes protecting consumers and public health by ending surprise billing and crushing medical debt, cracking down on corporate consolidation and monopolistic practices, and enhancing public health infrastructure.

Michael Bennet ✖

Bennet has voted in the U.S. Senate AGAINST measures to import lower-cost FDA-approved prescription drugs from other countries.

Issue: POLICE VS ICE

Phil Weiser

On June 2, 2026, the Colorado Sun asked if candidates supported state and local police intervention when federal immigration agents use excessive force.

Weiser said, “I do believe that police officers need to keep people safe. If a federal agent is the source of the risk, they should protect the public and they should hold accountable federal officers who act in criminal ways.”

Michael Bennet ✖

In the same June 2, 2026, article Bennet responded,

“No.”
