NO KINGS RALLY II
Fort Collins Event Information

About the Rally

Join us at 9am on October 18 for a short program and march through downtown to show the world and the wannabe dictator that we the people claim our right to protest peacefully and raise our voices to be heard!

This is a demonstration about being part of the United States community - about freedom of speech, democracy, the rule of law and the right to assembly.  Bring your American flags and wave them proudly.

Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. Almost 10,000 people showed up at the first Fort Collins No Kings Rally - let's double those numbers.  Bring your friends and family members! After the event, amplify our voices.  Record everything and Post photos/videos with #NoKings and #NoKingsFoCo.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Police Presence

The Fort Collins Police will be at the rally and on the march route to help keep us safe and control traffic at intersections. They may need to interrupt the march to allow emergency vehicles to pass or let someone out who parked on the march route. Please cooperate and follow their instructions.

They may use drones to help with security. If you see a drone, don’t panic! They are there for our safety - not for collecting video of the protest.

Poster Making at the Rally

Arrive early to the rally and make a poster with IndivisibleNOCO volunteers! We will have tables with poster-making supplies, so join us for some fun and camaraderie starting at 9 am.

Food Bank Collections

Look for the table where IndivisibleNOCO Volunteers are collecting food donations for the Larimer County Food Bank. Please consider bringing a donation to support our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. The top five requested items are: macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, canned tuna, chicken or salmon, baby wipes and baby diapers (preemie and sizes 5, 6, & 7).

Register

Registering for the event helps us plan for attendance and ensures you receive any event updates.

Volunteers Needed!

We need safety marshals, help with set-up and take-down and chant leaders during the march. Please use this form to let us know how you can help.

We rely on volunteers to make our events successful. Thank you for being part of our success!

March Route

Help Us Fund the Rally

IndivisibleNOCO is an all-volunteer organization and relies on donations from our community to fund our activities.  This rally will cost over $2,000 after we pay for  port-a-potties, radios, safety vests, poster making materials and more.  Please consider a donation to help us defray these costs so that we can continue to host community rallies and other events.  Thank you!

Parking

We expect a large crowd, and parking is limited! Consider carpooling, biking, or taking public transportation to the rally. Also, if walking is easy for you, consider parking further away to leave the closer spaces for the less mobile attendees. Here are some parking options:

  • The closest option for parking is the Civic Center Parking Structure at 120 N Mason Street, but that may fill. Getting out may also prove challenging as the march route goes in front of the exits.

  • Old Town Parking Structure at 209 E Mountain Ave

  • Firehouse Alley Parking Lot at 165 Chestnut Street

Downloading the ParkMobile app can facilitate paying for spaces in the downtown parking structures. See this link for more information on parking in Fort Collins

Mobility Concerns

At the Rally: An area near the parking lot on the northwest corner of the park will be designated for individuals with mobility challenges.

Stationary Protest:  A group of friends who are not mobile enough to march will hold a stationary No Kings protest on the corner of Mulberry & College in Fort Collins from 9-11:30 am. They would love to have others join them.
