Why Running
I was 17-years-old when I raised my right hand for the first time and took an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I took those words, and that responsibility, seriously every day for nearly 4 decades. But in all those years, I have never felt as much of a threat to our country, our Constitution, our very democracy, as I do at this time.
I have frequently said that I would never run for office. But in this moment, I feel an obligation to step up to try to make a difference. I feel called to serve my country, and specifically Colorado, once more.
The people of Colorado’s 4th congressional district deserve serious and honest representation of their concerns and struggles.
They deserve a Congressperson who is willing to work tirelessly to make the Government deliver for them – not corporate donors and billionaires.
They deserve someone who believes in service before self.
Lauren Boebert is not that person. I am.
Policy Positions
Commitment to Reform: Emphasize government accountability by pursuing term limits, banning congressional stock trading, reducing lobbyist and dark‑money influence, protecting voting rights, and promoting responsible budgeting and practical solutions.
Tackle Expenses for Coloradans: Focus on lowering everyday costs by cracking down on price gouging, reducing prescription drug prices, holding utilities accountable, providing tax relief for working families, and advancing policies aimed at easing inflation.
Make Healthcare Affordable and Accessible: Seek to keep rural hospitals open, expand telehealth, protect access to reproductive and family‑planning care, and ensure Coloradans can obtain needed medical services without financial strain.
Support Veterans and Military Families: Strengthen care and opportunity for veterans through expanded VA partnerships, improved access for those affected by toxic exposures, streamlined benefits, and broader job training, childcare, mental health, and employment support for military families.
Make Communities Secure: Improve public safety by equipping first responders with modern training and technology, investing in updated gear and health resources, and supporting disaster preparedness, wildfire prevention, and community‑oriented policing.
Protect Colorado’s Water and Agriculture: Safeguard water and farmland from foreign ownership while supporting family farms, ranches, and small businesses, and bolstering rural economies for long‑term resilience.
Grow Jobs and Energy Production: Promote strong local job growth by investing in Colorado businesses, ensuring rural communities share in economic benefits, advancing an all‑of‑the‑above energy strategy rooted in local production, and expanding next‑generation manufacturing leadership.
