This initiative creates a state constitutional right to sell and use natural gas, and would block state and local governments from banning or phasing out natural gas hookups in new or existing buildings.

This is an unnecessary amendment to the state constitution and there is no need to establish access to natural gas as a fundamental constitutional right. Natural gas is readily available to homeowners and developers alike.

 

Requiring all homes and buildings to have natural gas hookups is an overreach - let home owners and builders decide for themselves.
